Donegal Scenic Travel is a new business with over 30 years experience in the passenger sector. In this our first year, we are providing a guided tour of SW Donegal. As we grow we intend to introduce additional tours to explore a wider area of our beautiful, yet much undiscovered county. In our 16 seat minibus, the ideal vehicle for negotiating some of the narrow winding roads ahead, and without having to transfer to a smaller vehicle, you will miss out on nothing, as your driver has a wealth of local knowledge, and will endeavor to ensure that you have both an enjoyable and memorable experience. It has taken the Atlantic Ocean millions of years to shape the masterpiece which is the rugged Donegal coastline. With some of the highest marine cliffs in Europe, beautiful long golden beaches and spectacular landscapes it is no surprise that artists from around the globe have become frequent visitors to try and capture the majestic scenic views on canvas.
World famous for our tweed and woolen industry you will get the opportunity to see an authentic hand loom in full operation, and take a look at how necessity shaped the lives of our ancestors through invention and survival at the Glencolmkille Folk Museum and visit many hidden gems as we venture off the beaten track.
Departing from Donegal town Tourist Information Centre @11AM daily, and returning around 5PM Donegal Scenic Travel offer a free pick up and drop off service to local hotels and guesthouses. It is advisable to pre book your tour as there are only 16 seats available daily, on this already much sought after day trip.
Refreshments, crafts and souvenirs are available to purchase en route from recommended vendors assuring the visitor excellent value and a taste of Donegal hospitality that is both warm and genuine.
