Public services from Bus Eireann run numerous times per day from Dublin with terminus in Donegal Town (Route 30) and Letterkenny (Route 32).  Route 64 (Galway to Derry) traverses the county from Bundoran in the south to Newtowncunningham northerly towards Derry.

Private operators are also plentiful with John McGinley coaches offering daily services from Dublin to Crolly (via Letterkenny), Dublin to Moville (via Derry) and seasonally (June-September) Glasgow to Dungloe and return

Bus Feda operate several daily services from Galway to Crolly, a Friday and Sunday service from Donegal to and from Limerick (during college term time only) and a seasonal service (June to September) from Donegal to and from Glasgow.

Patrick Gallagher coaches offer a daily service from Belfast to Crolly. Translink offer a daily service from Enniskillen in County Fermanagh (NI) to Bundoran. Internally in the county Bus Eireann offers a number of services. The Local Link network is ideal for getting around the county also.'

There are seasonal crossings between Buncrana and Rathmullan and also between Magilligan (NI) and Greencastle connecting the Causeway Coast (NI) to the Wild Atlantic Way.

Elsewhere in the county, the Arranmore Blu will bring you from Burtonport Pier to Arranmore Island while the MV Rhum also operates on the same route all year round.

Tory Ferry operates the MV Queen of Aran from Magheroarty Pier all year round with a journey time of 45 minutes to Tory Island - the most remote inhabited island of Ireland!

The seasonal ferry “The Cricket” to Gola Island departs Magheragallan Pier (Gweedore) while the seasonal ferry to Inisbofin (Inis Bó Finne) departs from Magheroarty.'
