EuroVelo 1 Cycling Route
Following Europes mighty western border, the Atlantic Coast Route combines for around 9,100km the majestic fjords of Norway, the wild Irish coastline and the sun-Kissed beaches of Portugal. The Route starts at the village of Newtowncunningham in County Donegal, Ireland. From here the route is signposted for almost 200km on quiet rural roads, to Donegal Town. The route then joins the North West Cycle Trail which is signposted as far as Sligo Town.
