Located in the heart of Letterkenny, Donegal County Museum is where you can explore the archaeology, history and culture of County Donegal.
The Museum is based in an old stone building, which was once part of the Letterkenny Workhouse. The museum offers fascinating exhibits that bring the authentic stories of Donegal’s past to life. Throughout the year there are temporary exhibitions, talks, events and tours.
Younger visitors can search for clues and discover more about the history of Donegal with the Museum Detectives backpack. This fun and educational backpack is free to borrow during your visit to the Museum and contains a series of activities for children of all ages.
