Portugal rise to the top in Bundoran at Eurosurf final

The Portuguese junior surf team have emerged as champions of Europe at the Junior Surfing Championships (Eurosurf Junior) held in Bundoran since September 26th and concluding Saturday 3rd October in the seaside town.

Bundoran, known as Ireland\'s Surf Capital, saw perfect surf conditions throughout the week with events held at the Peak, Main Beach, Tullan Strand and also at Rossnowlagh. The town was flooded with surfers from twenty nations across Europe including land locked Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

David Fanning (U18 Longboard)

Isabella O\'Reilly (F-U16)

Joshua Karbus (M-U18)

Unfortunately there were no wins for Ireland on this occasion with David coming in 4th place, Isabella in third and Joshua in second in their respective divisions. The Irish team collectively came in sixth place overall with a total of 6,405 points out of a maximum of achievable of 12,360.'
